The good news, is that there isn’t one singular way of using lavender to repel spiders, so you have options! They won’t one hundred percent get rid your home of spiders, but they will certainly help in keeping them away to some extent.

We’re going to be sharing our favourite tried – and – tested method of using lavender in order to repel spiders with you just below. So listen up, and take notes!

In order to make this mixture, you will need to gather the following ingredients:

•       Lavender oil.
•         A base oil. This could be an oil from around the home, such as vegetable oil, sunflower oil, olive oil, and so on. Basically any cooking oil will work.
•         A spray bottle.

Any of the base oils mentioned above will be more than adequate.

Now, you begin this process by choosing your base oil, and making a mixture of that and the lavender oil. We’ll use the vegetable oil as an example today.

Firstly, properly mix together the vegetable oil and the lavender oil. Make sure you mix it together properly, and then transfer the made up solution into a spray bottle.

The reason we recommend using both kinds of oil, is because spiders cannot stand the smell of either, and the lavender will be sure to just tip them over the edge, and drive them away!

Now all you need to do is spray the mixture. To get the best results, you should be sure to do this in the areas in which you have already spotted spiders, unreachable areas, on webs, and so on. This will help in repelling the spiders. It’s as easy as that.
